Safety & Privacy
Clinical safety, privacy, and governance
ClinIQ Ireland is built for qualified healthcare professionals. This page explains how we approach safety, de-identification, data handling, and clinical governance.
Not a diagnostic or treatment tool
ClinIQ does not diagnose, treat, or replace clinical judgement, examination, or professional responsibility. Every answer includes a clinical safety disclaimer. You remain responsible for all clinical decisions.
De-identification by design
Before every submission, we check for common Irish identifiers: PPS numbers, Eircodes, phone numbers, dates of birth, medical record numbers, names, and email addresses. We prompt you to remove them. Do not enter identifiable patient information.
Data handling
- • Questions and answers are stored per-user and protected by Row Level Security.
- • You cannot see other users’ questions or answers.
- • Admins can access aggregated usage data for governance and quality review only.
- • We do not sell or share clinical data with third parties.
- • AI processing is performed via a secure gateway; no OpenAI API keys are exposed in frontend code.
Clinical governance
- • Every answer includes a mandatory clinical safety disclaimer.
- • Red-flag prompts and escalation considerations are highlighted on every answer.
- • Irish healthcare context (HSE, HIQA, IMC, CORU) is included where relevant.
- • Source citations are provided in Research Mode for traceability.
- • Scope-of-practice cautions are included to prevent acting outside competence.
