Educational and reasoning support only

ClinIQ Ireland is an AI-assisted clinical reasoning and research tool for qualified healthcare professionals. It supports clinical reasoning, differential thinking, red-flag awareness, evidence review (with citations in Research Mode), and documentation prompts.

It is not:

  • a medical device;
  • a diagnostic, triage, or treatment tool;
  • a substitute for clinical examination, professional judgement, or specialist consultation;
  • a source of emergency advice;
  • a replacement for HSE, HPRA, NICE, BNF, IMC, NMBI, PSI, CORU, or any local guidance, policy, or protocol.

Outputs may be wrong

AI models can produce confident-sounding but incorrect, incomplete, or out-of-date answers. Source retrieval in Research Mode can miss key Irish or international guidance. Always verify against current authoritative guidance and apply your professional judgement before acting.

Image, document and audio uploads

Where ClinIQ accepts clinical images (e.g. photos of rashes, ECG strips, screenshots), PDF documents (lab reports, guideline extracts), or audio (voice notes), the AI provides educational reasoning support only. It is not a substitute for formal imaging review by a radiologist, cardiologist, dermatologist, pathologist, or other appropriate specialist. Image quality, framing, contrast, and clinical context affect interpretation and may lead to material errors.

Do not rely on ClinIQ’s reading of an image or document for diagnosis, treatment, or referral decisions without independent specialist review and adherence to local protocols.

Emergencies

If a patient is unwell, deteriorating, or at risk, escalate immediately according to local protocols, call 112 or 999, or contact the appropriate emergency or specialist service. Do not use ClinIQ in emergencies.

Professional responsibility

You remain the treating clinician. Your professional regulator (IMC, NMBI, PSI, CORU, etc.), your employer, and your local protocols continue to apply in full. ClinIQ does not change your duty of care, your scope of practice, your prescribing responsibilities, or your referral obligations.

No clinician–patient relationship

ClinIQ does not create a clinician–patient relationship between us and any patient. We do not advise patients directly; ClinIQ is provided to qualified professionals for their internal reasoning use.
